SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and is intended for processing data when transmitting multiple types of audio data elements. Method involves transmitting a container in a certain predefined format having a predetermined number of audio data streams including encoded data elements related to a plurality of groups. For example, encoded data elements relating to said plurality of groups include either channel encoded data elements or object encoded data elements, or both. At the level of the container and/or at the level of the audio data stream, information on attributes is inserted, which indicates corresponding attributes of elements encoded with data of said plurality of groups. For example, information on the correspondence relationship of a data stream is additionally inserted, indicating which audio data stream includes each of the coded data elements of said plurality of groups.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of data processing load at reception during transmission of multiple types of audio data elements.
