FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rail terminal mounting tool. Tool for installation of rail terminal and its movement to railway rail comprises reaction frame, adapted for connection of tool to rail, manually actuated lever hinged to reaction frame, and element for contact with terminal, hingedly connected to lever and made so that after lever actuation this element comes into contact with terminal and moves it in lateral direction relative to rail and, if required, raises the railway sleepers lying under the rail, to the required height relative to the rail to simplify movement of the rail terminal to the rail. Invention also relates to a method of installing a rail terminal on a railway rail using said tool.
EFFECT: result is an improved tool for installation of rail terminal - operator does not need to perform action to control separate lever for lifting sleeper, sleeper is raised always, which simplifies installation of rail terminal.
