SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for controlling power. Method includes: obtaining a power control parameter for the sounding reference signal (SRS), wherein the power control parameter for the SRS includes at least one of the target power parameter value for the SRS, path loss compensation coefficient and closed loop power control parameter value for the SRS; and determining transmission power for the SRS on the first carrier based on the power control parameter for the SRS.

EFFECT: thus, the SRS is transmitted at the optimum level of transmission power on the switched carrier, ensuring correct reception of the SRS.
