FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles. Drive system comprises multi-phase electric motor, inverter and electronic control unit. Electronic control unit is configured to generate a carrier wave in such a way that the following conditions are met: I) at each of unit intervals required time on said unit interval is equal to total time of plurality of unit components, and II) at least on one of said unit intervals of duration of at least two unit components of plurality of unit components are different from each other. At that, the electronic control unit is configured to generate a carrier wave in such a way that on the part of single intervals, on each of which the number of unit components is equal to the first number, the duration of consecutive unit components, the number of which is equal to the second number, at the same unit interval were equal to each other, wherein the second number is less than the first number. Also disclosed are versions of drive system, vehicle on which said drive system is installed, and method of controlling drive system.

EFFECT: reduced electromagnetic noise, preventing selection of harmonics in a given frequency range.
