FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-aqueous heat exchange fluids which can be used in internal combustion engines of an engine as cooling liquid for an engine. Non-aqueous cooling liquid for glycol-based internal combustion engines contains ethylene glycol. Coolant also contains 1,3-propanediol and diethylene glycol. EG is at least 70 wt. % relative to the total weight of the glycols. Non-aqueous cooling liquid contains less than 1 wt. % of water for use in an internal combustion engine. Coolant has viscosity of about 2.0 Pa⋅s at -40 °C.
EFFECT: invention allows to expand low-temperature limit of ethylene glycol operation without causing viscosity increase.
