FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering and can be used to control a missile when orbiting satellites whose active life has expired by destroying a satellite with the help of a missile and changing its orbit. Essence of invention consists in the fact that in method of guiding missile on satellite, carried out by controlling movement of missile based on signals obtained by means of sight of satellite and measurement of parameters of movement of missile, during missile guidance formation signal is generated to control missile movement by value of angle formed by line of sight of satellite and tangent to forecast trajectory of satellite, performing maneuver in guidance plane, reducing to a minimum value above said angle, changing the trajectory of the missile, bringing it closer to the trajectory of the satellite, at that, to perform maneuver, a signal is generated based on information obtained both by means of sighting of the target, and by measuring the speed of movement of the missile, the value of displacement, as well as the current value of the range to the satellite.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of guidance of a missile and increased probability of removal of a satellite from an orbit.
