FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: use: for magnetic resonance imaging. Summary of invention consists in the fact that detachable radio frequency coil for use in a magnetic resonance imaging system comprises: a radio frequency screen; a pair of radio-frequency conducting loop-like elements spaced along a common longitudinal axis; plurality of axially arranged radio-frequency conducting elements electrically connected to at least one of radio-frequency conducting loop-like elements, wherein at least two axially arranged radio-frequency conducting elements electrically connect radio-frequency conducting loop-like elements, serving as interconnecting elements, and at least two of axially arranged radio-frequency conducting elements are located axially and set in azimuthal position inside the interval between azimuthal positions of said at least two interconnecting elements and electrically serve as the elements connecting to the screen for one of said two radio-frequency conducting loop-like elements to the radio-frequency screen; at least one mounting space within the inner volume of the volumetric coil, which is accessible from outside the volumetric radio-frequency coil in at least a radial direction in the interval between two different azimuthal positions of said two interconnection elements and in interval in axial direction between axial positions of ends connecting with screen elements, which are distant to radio-frequency conducting loop-like element, to which they are connected.
EFFECT: enabling implementation of a volumetric radio-frequency coil with favourable properties of providing a uniform radio-frequency excitation magnetic field B1 and with improved access to the analysed subject placed inside the radio-frequency volume, during survey and providing versions of arrangement of auxiliary devices close to volumetric radio-frequency coil.
