FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical set of windings (10, 30, 80) of a coil comprises primary windings (12, 32, 82) of the coil and screening windings (14, 34, 84) of the coil in a more remote radial position relative to the primary coil windings, and an arched or circular central gap (16, 36, 86), which is free of coil windings, has an axial length (W) of at least ten centimetres and covers at least a 180° angle interval. Connecting conductors (24, 44, 94) installed at each edge of the central gap electrically connect the selected primary and secondary coil windings. In a scanner design the main magnet (62, 64) is located outside the substantially cylindrical set of the coil windings. In a design of a hybrid scanner, a circular row of positron emission tomography (PET) detectors (66) is installed in the central gap of the substantially cylindrical set of the coil windings.
EFFECT: higher quality of an image in a visualisation system.
