FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to isotopic chemistry, and can be used for separation of carbon isotope mixtures during production of stable isotopes by low-temperature rectification of carbon oxide (II), in order to obtain 13C high concentration, which can be used in chemical, nuclear industry, medical research, as labeled atoms. Method of producing highly enriched isotope 13C includes preliminary concentration of target isotope by cryogenic rectification of carbon oxide (II), semi-product obtained as a result of pre-concentration in a cascade of rectification packed columns with concentration of 13C 92 % at, is fed into isotopic exchange reactor, in which on catalyst obtained by hydrothermal hardening of alumo-calcium cement containing oxides of CuO, ZnO, Al2O3, CaO, reaction of isotopic exchange takes place at room temperature 13C16O +12C18O↔13C18O +12C16O, then obtained mixture is cooled with liquid nitrogen in heat exchanger, after which final concentration of equilibrated mixture of carbon monoxide (II) molecules in rectification column is carried out.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the concentration of target isotope 13C simultaneous simplification of hardware design process of separation of carbon isotopes.
