FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of stable nitrogen isotopes 14N and 15N. Method of nitrogen isotopes concentration involves carrying out of a counterflow mass exchange process using molecular nitrogen as a working substance; at that, the gas mixture of nitrogen isotopes is brought into contact with the solution of transition metal complex nitrogen compound capable of thermal abstraction of molecular nitrogen and entering with it into the reaction of chemical isotope exchange with accumulation of 15N in one phase, and 14N - in the other phase.
EFFECT: invention ensures an improvement of nitrogen isotopes separation coefficient, as well as an effective and environmentally safe concentration of isotope 15N.
