FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes of separation of stable isotopes by physical and chemical methods. For the production of a highly concentrated 13C isotope by low-temperature rectification of carbon oxide CO, as initial raw materials, carbon dioxide CO2 is used with a natural isotope composition, which is supplied as a supply flow to a countercurrent mass-exchange column between its concentrating and depleting parts. In the column, a simultaneous increase in 13C concentration and decrease in 18O concentration is provided due to chemical isotope exchange between CO2 and amine carbamate in an organic solvent. A selection flow in the form of gaseous CO2 from a lower cross-section of the column is reduced to carbon oxide CO with its subsequent purification from CO2 traces, and is supplied as a supply flow to a low-temperature cascade of CO rectification, where 13C concentration is increased to ≥ 99 at.%.
EFFECT: invention allows for reduction in a volume of cryogenic separation equipment in CO rectification and a flow rate of a cooling agent – liquid nitrogen.
