FIELD: valve industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve industry, in particular, to control valves operating in conditions requiring wide range and smooth control of high-temperature working medium, for example, in mass exchange apparatus of nuclear reactor plants with heavy liquid metal heat carrier. Control valve comprises housing with inlet and outlet holes accommodating barrel with through holes on side surface. Plunger is installed in the barrel with the possibility of axial reciprocal movement. Lower part of the plunger is a gate for the seat installed in the outlet hole of the housing. Plunger is equipped with ring elements spacing relative to the barrel, which are installed on its upper and lower end parts. Through holes on the side surface of the barrel are spirally located with a step along the perimeter of the cup in range from 2 to 10 diameters of the hole and with pitch along height of the barrel in range from 0.7 to 0.9 of diameter of the hole. Total area of holes is selected within 0.4 to 1.1 of seat cross-section area.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at smooth variation of flow rate of working medium due to uniform increase in flow passage of valve at reliable movement of plunger in vertical direction without jamming.
