FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to munitions of barrel artillery and can be used in fuses of artillery shells. According to the method, using the hardware and computer means installed in the fuse of the projectile, according to the predetermined algorithm, determining the moment of time when the projectile begins to brake. Braking is performed by increasing resistance to projectile movement. Beginning of braking is performed in 2–3 s after projectile maximum height, fixed by means of devices installed in detonating fuse. Braking is carried out by increasing the area of the projectile in the direction of its movement by pulsed rotation of its nose in the direction opposite to the drift of the shell due to diversion and by slowing down the speed of rotation of the projectile by pulse application of force directed against the direction of rotation of the projectile. Pulse jet engine fitted on fuse outer surface is used to create pulse action on projectile. Engine is switched on at the moment when it is at the lower point of the generatrix of the projectile surface in direction of its rotation. At the same time pulse jet engine is installed in fuse so that its axis relative to tangent in point of engine installation in direction of shell rotation is specified angle.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of projectile trajectory correction.
