SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention is a dense nutrient medium for cultivation and collection of biomass of vaccine strain of plague microbe Y. pestis EV, including nutrient base; sodium chloride; 2-substituted 12-aqueous sodium phosphate; sodium sulphate; drinking water, characterized by that as a nutrient base contains enzymatic hydrolyzate of corn syrup (liquid) and fermentative hydrolyzate of beef meat in ratio 2:1, and as a stimulating additive iron is iron sulphate-7-aqueous, with the following ratio of ingredients: fermentative hydrolyzate of corn syrup (liquid) 177.0 ml, fermentative hydrolyzate of beef meat 89.0 ml, sodium chloride 5.0 g, sodium phosphate 2-substituted 12-aqueous 4.0 g, sodium sulphate 0.4 g, ferric sulphocate 7-aqueous 0.05 g, microbiological agar 19.0 g, drinking water up to 1 l.
EFFECT: use of the given medium provides sufficient amount of biomass of the Yersinia pestis EV plague microbe vaccine strain with a certain percentage of live microbial cells.
