SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and namely to the preparation of nutrient media for controlling the number of live microbial cells of the vaccine strain of the plague microbe Y. pestis EV. The dense nutrient medium to control the number of live microbial cells of the vaccine strain of the plague microbe Y. pestis EV contains an enzymatic hydrolyzate of beef meat containing 120 mg% of amine nitrogen, sodium chloride, 2-substituted 12-aqueous phosphated sodium, sodium sulfate, a 20% solution based on the corn extract, 4-water ammonium molybdate, microbiological agar and distilled water at the stated ratio of components.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a high percentage of living microbial cells.
