FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio signals. Technical result is achieved by selecting M subranges from N subbands, wherein N subbands are obtained by dividing spectral coefficient of current signal frame and the frequency range M of the subbands is less than the frequency range of the K subbands in the N subbands except for the M subbands; determining, according to the operating characteristics of the M subbands, that the modification operation should be performed on the initial values of the envelope M of the subbands, wherein information on operating characteristics is used to show energy characteristic and spectral characteristic, which have M subbands; performing modification separately for each initial value of envelope M of subranges in order to obtain modified values of envelope envelope M of subbands; and performing first bit allocation in N subbands according to modified values of envelope M of subbands and initial values of envelope K of subbands.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of processing audio signals.
