SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved by steps of: receiving, by an audio encoding device, audio data comprising a plurality of modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) intervals, including a current interval; determining, based at least in part on the energies of one or more MDCT intervals, the index of which is assigned earlier than the current interval, estimated transformation coefficients, wherein the counter of the amount that is made up of one or more MDCT intervals is designated as a unit offset parameter, wherein the determination includes calculating the spectral energy envelope of the current interval and one or more MDCT intervals, the index of which is assigned before the first interval; levelling the current interval based on the estimated transformation coefficients, wherein during alignment, the shape of the spectrum of the current interval is removed according to the spectral energy envelope; and providing the equalized interval to the downstream processing device for further processing.
EFFECT: high efficiency when encoding audio data.
