FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tests of vehicles for electromagnetic compatibility. In the method of testing antenna cables of vehicles for susceptibility to an electromagnetic field, a vehicle is installed with a tested antenna-feeder system into an anechoic chamber and subjected to an electromagnetic deterministic broadband field, the spectrum of which overlaps the frequency range specified by the test procedure, and the levels of electromagnetic interference induced by the electromagnetic field are measured at the output of the antenna-feeder system. Level of induced electromagnetic interference is measured for two antenna-feeder system configurations. One of the configurations includes a receiving antenna and an antenna cable of a motor vehicle, and other of configurations includes equivalent resistance of receiving antenna or fully protected from electromagnetic field receiving antenna and antenna cable of vehicle. Antenna cable is considered to satisfy requirements of noise immunity if difference of spectral characteristics induced by electromagnetic field to antenna-feeder system of vehicles, obtained after tests of two described configurations, is not less than 6 dB.

EFFECT: technical result when implementing disclosed solution is creation of method, which enables to diagnose noise immunity of antenna cable of vehicles.
