FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing radio systems of vehicles. Vehicle with tested radio system is placed on rotary bench of electromagnetic anechoic chamber equipped with device for generation of electromagnetic interference, antenna and transmitter of radio signal generator, audio indication equipment and microphone, which is installed in vehicle cabin. Test sequence of sign characters is specified. Radio system is switched on for reception. By means of sound-indicating equipment, which is a computer, a sequence of sign symbols is transformed into a pulse code which is transmitted through a radio signal former in an anechoic chamber. Received and sounded radio system pulse code through microphone is transmitted to audio-indicating equipment, which performs conversion of the acoustic sounded pulse code into a sequence of symbol symbols. Comparing initial and decoded test sequences of sign characters – based on the ratio of primitive/true and distorted/lost symbols, the probability of correct reproduction of the initial message mediated by the radio system for the position of the vehicle relative to the field-forming systems specified by the rotary stand is determined. Vehicle is turned relative to radio signal generator antenna by a predetermined angle Δα and tests are repeated. Results of the sum of tests are used to calculate the numerical value of the radio system quality parameter.
EFFECT: method eliminates the effect of subjective factors when assessing the quality of radio reception, conversion and acoustic reproduction of information transmitted via a radio system.
