FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to diagnostics of instruments used in process control systems. During transportation or other movement operations it is necessary to protect fluid level regulator from damages by means of manual engagement of lever locking mechanism to secure lever in assembly of liquid level regulator. Lever locking mechanism must be manually disengaged to calibrate or to actuate fluid level regulator. To assist the operator in controlling the lever locking mechanism, the sensor is connected to a lever locking mechanism to detect whether the lever locking mechanism is in the locked or unlocked position. This information is then provided to an operator through a user interface.
EFFECT: compared to current visual inspections, the use of the sensor is a more reliable and proven method and provides a simple non-contact method of determining the state of the lever locking mechanism.
