SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutics, namely to a unit for controlling access to the content of a container. The specified control unit contains a cap made with the possibility of closing the container, when it is installed on it; an electromechanical locking module made with the possibility of selectively fixing the cap on the container and detaching the cap from the container to provide access to the container; one or several sensors for determining environmental conditions, physical and/or time conditions on or around the cap; as well as a processor for processing data from one or several sensors and for unlocking the electromechanical locking module to allow the cap to detach from the container after one or several predetermined environmental, physical and/or time conditions have been met. The unit additionally contains an indicator for providing a user with an indication of locked or unlocked state of the electromechanical locking module, which includes a light source for indicating the locked state, wherein the light source has the first color to indicate the locked state and the second color to indicate the unlocked state.

EFFECT: invention protects patients from using an unsuitable drug, such as an expired drug that has been improperly stored or transported, or insufficiently shaken before use.
