Cutting assembly comprises support lever pivotally mounted on working table, saw blade and drive. Method of crosscut miter folding includes stage of cutting assembly relative to basic unit and stage of support lever turn relative to basic unit and a working table for shifting the cutting unit from the working position into the folded position, thereby reducing the vertical space occupied by the cutting assembly, and facilitating the delivery, storage and packaging of the collapsible crosscut saw.
