FIELD: vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems indicating slipping or skidding of wheels on vehicles with electric traction. Method for detection of vehicle wheel slipping and skidding with electric DC transmission consists in the following. Output signal of the sensor of one of the parameters of the traction motor circuit is subject to spectral analysis, as a result of which the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the signal is determined and the level of amplitudes of the harmonic components of the signal is controlled. Slipping and skidding are determined by increasing relative power of harmonic components of amplitude-frequency spectrum of output signal of sensor in limited frequency band determined by inertial characteristics of traction drive of vehicle. At the same time as parameter of traction motor circuit there used is potential difference between points of chain of serially connected armature windings of traction motors and connected in parallel circuit of series-connected resistors.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of sensitivity of system of detection of slipping and skidding of wheels of vehicle with electric transmission.
