FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to cardiovascular surgery. After removal of atherosclerotic plaque on stump of internal carotid artery before clamp is applied turnstile. In the lumen of the stump of the internal carotid artery, a catheter tip is brought in, the main line is connected to the strain gauge pressure sensor of the monitor. Simultaneously with relaxation of vascular clamp on internal carotid artery catheter is brought against retrograde blood flow to lumen of stump above the place of turnstile standing, wherein simultaneously with bringing the catheter into the artery lumen, 100 units of heparin are introduced in 5 ml of normal saline. Catheter tip is moved higher than the place of turnstile standing. Turnstile is tightened, the catheter is fixed and the retrograde pressure is measured; removal of the catheter from the vessel is performed simultaneously with the retrograde blood flow start-up.

EFFECT: method enables dynamic monitoring of retrograde pressure and by means of correction of systemic haemodynamics affect collateral blood flow and exclude use of intraluminal shunt.
