SUBSTANCE: method includes feeding off-gas and acetic acid at a minimum flow rate to a scrubber purification plant with acetic acid, removing exhaust gas from the scrubbing unit, feeding off-gas to the scrubber purification unit with methanol, purification of exhaust gas with methanol and removal of purified exhaust gas from the scrubbing unit with methanol. Namely, method is disclosed for operation of off-gas scrubbing purification system in acetic acid production plant, in which implementation on the acetic acid production plant formed off gas containing methyl iodide, wherein said production plant includes a reactor, a light fraction recovery section, comprising a light fraction separation column, a scrubber purification unit with acetic acid and a scrubbing unit with methanol. Said method of operating the scrubbing system includes the following steps: (i) feeding off-gas and acetic acid into the scrubber purification unit with acetic acid and removing the exhaust gas therefrom, (ii) feeding exhaust gas and methanol to a scrubbing unit with methanol and contacting therefrom exhaust gas and methanol, wherein purified exhaust gas is obtained, and (iii) discharging the cleaned exhaust gas from the scrubbing unit with methanol, wherein the acetic acid is fed into the scrubber treatment unit with acetic acid at a minimum flow rate.
EFFECT: invention describes a method for scrubbing purification of off-gas formed in plants for producing acetic acid and the required equipment.
