FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to muzzle devices of small arms and artillery pieces. Shatrov muzzle brake comprises hollow cylinder 1, which is a muzzle brake housing, compensating projectile 2 with central hole 3 for passage of ammunition shell 7 of the firearm, target 4 for compensating projectile 2, limiter 6. Cylinder 1 is detachably fixed on barrel 8 of firearm. Compensating projectile 2 is installed in cavity of cylinder 1 movably in axial direction. Projectile 2 in its initial position preceding the shot is installed in the area of the inlet part of the cylinder with the possibility of its automatic return to the specified initial position after firing. This possibility is provided by spring. Target 4 is made in the form of end diaphragm with central hole 5 intended for passage through diaphragm 4 of firearm 7.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the fact that in the declared muzzle brake, on the one hand, using the known effect of collision of a movable solid body with a fixed solid, and on the other side, these bodies are not installed directly on the barrel of the firearm, operate without use of the barrel and without using any transmission links of rocker type, which simplifies the design and increases its reliability.
