FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measurement equipment and is intended for testing of protective relay. Essence: in test device (4) signal (S) is generated, which is supplied to protective relay (2). Adaptation device (X) located in test device (4) is supplied from storage battery (5) with supply voltage (UV). Adaptation device (X) supplies intermediate voltage (UX) signal generator (G), which generates signal (S). Use of adaptive device (X) allows, for example, supply voltage (UV) of accumulator (5) is switched to low intermediate voltages (UX) and low currents of accumulator (5) to switch to supply signal generator (G) to high currents. Signal shape (S) is determined by control unit (E). Result of control unit (E) is processed by digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) to realize signal (S). Digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) controls signal generator (G). Use of accumulator (5) enables to avoid generator sets supplied with fuel.

EFFECT: improved efficiency and simplified operation of test device (4) for checking protective relays (2).
