FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses methods for adjusting engine torque in response to variation of required engine torque. In one example, the method can comprise steps in which, in response to increasing the required engine torque, are monotonously reduced, when fuel is not injected into engine cylinders, generator torque from second level to first level, and generator torque is increased from first level to second level, at that, combustion in the engine is initiated, and then, in response to the first level generator torque achievement, the generator torque from the second level to the first level is monotonously reduced. Thus, the method may contain a step whereat the load is controlled by means of a generator mechanically connected to the said engine both at the moment of combustion in the cylinders and at the moment when fuel is not supplied to the cylinders.
EFFECT: technical result is higher fuel economy.
