CELLULOSE PRODUCT WITH ALPHA-CELLULOSE CONTENT OF 98,5 % AND HIGHER AND INDUSTRIAL METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C08B1/08 D21C1/06 D21C1/08 D21C9/16

Abstract RU 2703250 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes an original cellulose product with maximum alpha-cellulose indices and its production process from short flax fibre. Areas of application of technology can be paper, defence, petrochemical, food, mining industry, and so forth. Linseed cellulose product is characterized by weight ratio of alpha-cellulose 98.5 %, weight fraction of lignin 0.1 %, degree of polymerisation above 1100 and dynamic viscosity 228 mPa · s. Cellulose-containing product used is a cotton-like mass obtained from linseed, having the following properties: non-linear fibres with linear density of 0.21–0.97 tex and weight of 7.5 mm, weight ratio of awnchaff and weed impurities of 0.5%, moisture content is less than 14 %. Method of industrial production of cotton fiber of cellulose pulp is carried out by mechanical treatment, washing, boiling, delignification, which is carried out sequentially treatment of cotton-like mass of linen in alkaline solution at temperature of 50 °C, delignification, which is carried out in an aqueous solution containing sodium hydroxide 5–10 g/l and surfactant - 2.7–2.9 g/l, for 30 minutes at temperature of 95–100 °C, oxidative boiling for 60 minutes at temperature of 100 °C, washing: first with hot water at temperature of 80 °C, then with warm water at temperature 40 °C, followed by squeezing and drying.

EFFECT: advantages of using flax for production of cellulose are expressed in that content of lignin in comparison with wood and other annual plants (hemp, jute) in this culture is lower, and presence of cellulose components will vary from 65–89 %.
