FIELD: cellulose production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of oil and fat production waste, namely to a method of producing cellulose from plant raw materials, which can be used to produce cellulose with paper-forming properties and can be used to make paper or cardboard. Uncrushed sunflower husks are used as vegetable raw materials in the method. The method includes the first stage of cooking plant raw materials in an alkaline environment, followed by separation of the cellulose-containing mass from the solution, the second stage of cooking the separated mass in an acidic environment, obtaining cellulose material. At the first stage, high-temperature leaching is carried out at atmospheric pressure and a temperature of 90–100° by extraction in a 1–5% sodium hydroxide solution at a hydromodulus of 1:10 for at least 15 minutes, which ensures a soft plastic state of the raw material mass, swelling of the lignocarbohydrate complex and extraction of natural melanin from the surface of the husk, the modified raw material mass is separated from the solution and washed, at the second stage, oxidative cooking of the cellulose-containing mass is carried out in a solution of 2–5% nitric acid or 3–10% peroxoacetic acid at a hydromodulus of 1:10, atmospheric pressure and temperature of 80–100° for at least 20 minutes, the resulting cellulose-containing mass is separated from the solution and washed, after which the third stage of processing the cellulose-containing mass is carried out by extracting alkali-soluble lignin substances with a 2–5% sodium hydroxide solution at a hydromodulus of 1:10, atmospheric pressure and temperature of 90–100° for at least 20 minutes, the resulting cellulose mass is separated from the solution, washed, dried and a fibrous material is obtained.
EFFECT: method allows for complex processing of sunflower husks, expanding the raw material base for producing cellulose with a high alpha-cellulose content, obtaining additional target processing products — melanin and lignin, while the method is environmentally friendly, accessible, and reduces the consumption of reagents, process duration and energy consumption.
