FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a conjugated diene, comprising a reaction step of exposing a feed gas containing monoolefin with 4 carbon atoms or more, reacting oxidative dehydrogenation with a gas containing molecular oxygen in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a gaseous reaction product containing a conjugated diene; and a cooling step, at which cooling of the reaction gaseous product is carried out, where at cooling stage cooling agent is supplied to cooling column and brought into contact with gaseous reaction product; cooling agent withdrawn from cooling column, then cooled by means of heat exchanger; sediment dissolved in the coolant is deposited inside the heat exchanger and removed; and cooling agent, from which residue was extracted, is supplied to cooling column.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing conjugated diene.
