FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry and is a topical hair growth composition containing bimatoprost in an unbound form or in form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein bimatoprost is contained in amount of 0.3–4 % wt/wt, ethanol, propylene glycol, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, benzyl alcohol in amount of 0.5–2 % wt/wt and at least one compound selected from a group consisting of glycerylmonooleate in amount of 1–3 % wt/wt and oleic acid in amount of 1–3 % wt/wt; wherein said composition is made for local application on skin.
EFFECT: invention provides a synergetic effect consisting in a much higher efficiency of bimatoprost infection through the skin.
