SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing diesel fuel from a hydrocarbon stream, which comprises the following steps: hydrocrack feed stream hydrocracking over hydrocracking catalyst in presence of hydrogen to form hydrocracked effluent; separating said hydrocracked effluent into a vaporous hydrocracked stream and a liquid hydrocracked stream; hydrofining said vaporous hydrocracked stream over a hydrotreating catalyst in the presence of hydrogen to form a hydrotreated effluent; separating said hydrotreated effluent stream into a vaporous hydrotreated stream and a liquid hydrotreated stream; and stripping said liquid hydrotreated stream to form a product stream containing diesel fuel with ultralow sulfur content, wherein all hydrogen fed to the hydrotreating step is provided in a vaporous hydrocracked stream.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain diesel fuel with ultralow content of sulfur.
