FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device uses at least one wire or strip material (2.1 and/or 2.2), which is connected to direct current source. Between the wire or tape materials (2.1 and/or 2.2) or between one wire or tape material and one anode or cathode electric arc is formed. Feeding of wire or strip material (2.1 and/or 2.2) is performed by means of feeding device. Molten and/or evaporated material of wire or strip material (2.1 and/or 2.2) flows by means of gas jet (3) from gas or gas mixture through inlet hole into inner part of chamber (4). Chamber can be heated to temperature that is at least equal to evaporation temperature of at least one material used for coating, or material with highest evaporation temperature. Material (materials) is completely evaporated and comes out through at least one hole (5) made in chamber (4) and collides with the coated surface of the element or tool (6) to form the corresponding coating.
EFFECT: invention relates to a device for forming coatings on surfaces of an element, band material or tool.
