FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurements and can be used for investigation of change of mechanical characteristics of metal materials, after plastic or thermal hardening, by method of indenter introduction at static load. Summary: method includes preparation of hardened and non-reinforced material thin sections for indenter penetration zones, successive introduction of indenter into hardened and non-reinforced material with equal static loading force, determining the size of prints on thin sections of hardened and non-reinforced materials, determining specific work of plastic deformation when introducing an indenter into a non-reinforced and reinforced material, determination of degree of deformation of non-reinforced and hardened material at introduction of indenter. Resistance to deformation of hardened material is determined by formula using a conditional yield point of non-reinforced material, degree of deformation of non-reinforced material when introducing an indenter therein, degree of deformation of hardened material when indenter is introduced into it, specific work of plastic deformation at introduction of indenter into reinforced material and specific work of plastic deformation at introduction of indenter into non-reinforced material.
EFFECT: high accuracy, broader functional capabilities and field of use of the method.
