FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, namely, to railway track repair, namely, to quality control of ballast layer seal. Method comprises synchronous measurement of spatial coordinates of points, one of which is located on repaired rail track in sealing zone, and other – in compacted zone, from which current values of value of drawdown and achieved coefficient of compaction are determined. Machine speed is determined from said spatial coordinates and adjusted depending on actual value of seal factor at each current moment. Said measurements are carried out with the help of two satellite antennae (4, 5) of the receiver, one of which is installed in the front part of machine (1) in the direction of movement, and the other one – in its rear part, their outputs are connected to corresponding inputs of satellite positioning system (7) receiver, the first and second inputs – outputs of which are connected by onboard computer (9) and modem (8) receiving signals of basic satellite station.
EFFECT: higher reliability of determination of quality of compaction of ballast prism of railway track during repair works, higher operability and efficiency of these operations.
