SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical stapling and cutting tools and staples intended for them. Staple cartridge for a surgical suturing instrument comprises a cassette body, staples and a tissue thickness compensator. Brackets are detachably located at least partially within the cassette housing. Tissue thickness compensator comprises a first portion, a second portion and a third portion. Second part is spaced from the first part. Third part is located between the first part and the second part. Third part contains the pressed section. Pressed section is formed by means of forming the gap into the third part. According to the second embodiment, the cartridge with fasteners for the surgical stapling instrument comprises a cartridge body, fasteners and a tissue thickness compensator. Fasteners are detachably located at least partially within cassette housing. Tissue thickness compensator comprises a first portion, a second portion and a third portion. Second part is spaced from the first part. Third part is located between the first part and the second part. Third part comprises thermally removed section. Thermally removed portion is formed by introducing a means for forming a gap into a third portion. In the third embodiment, the staple cassette for a surgical suturing instrument comprises a cassette body, staples and a biocompatible foamed material. Brackets are detachably located at least partially within the cassette housing. Biocompatible foamed material comprises a first portion, a second portion and a third portion. Second part is spaced from the first part. Third part is located between the first part and the second part. Third part contains at least one material. Third part comprises a gap formed by melting at least one material by introducing heated means for forming gaps into a third portion.

EFFECT: use of inventions enables tissue stapling and cutting.
