FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for selection of recipient cows in the process of embryo transplantation, consisting in the fact that in a potential recipient cow performing the transplantable embryo engraftment and depending on the prediction result, the animal is either selected for use as a recipient, or arranged as a recipient, wherein in order to perform said prediction in a recipient cow on a zero sexual cycle day, estrus is diagnosed for detecting clinical and physiological manifestations of estrus features "immobility reflex" and "estruation" among all signs that appear during this zero day estrus, wherein diagnostic result is expressed by "presence" or "absence" indicator of set of "immovability and chambers reflex" features, and on 7th day of the sexual cycle immediately before the embryo transplantation, an ovary and a yellow body are visually imaged using the ultrasound equipment, whereby the volume of the yellow body and the ovary volume are measured morphometrically, method includes calculating the relation of the volume of the yellow body to the ovary volume in percentage terms (a prediction value), after which the values of the calculated index and the indicator obtained as a result of diagnosis, are combined as prognostic criteria and with the value of the predicted value of 31–50% and the indicator "presence" of the set of "immobility reflex and estruation" signs prediction probability "presence of embryo engraftment", wherein the animal is selected for use as a recipient in embryo transplantation technology. In all other combinations of values of the calculated index and the index obtained as a result of diagnostics, the "probability of failure of adhesion" is predicted, at which the animals are arranged and excluded from the process of embryo transplantation.

EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate selection of animals with high embryo transplantation engraftment reliability.
