SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to a method for selecting oocyte donor cows in the technology of in vitro embryo transplantation. To implement this method for the selection of animals, an additional stage of assessment is carried out by biochemical parameters of blood: by progesterone, cholesterol and carotene 10 days before the planned procedure for washing out oocytes on the 10th day of the sexual cycle. Cows are selected when the blood levels of progesterone are 3.39±0.24 ng/ml, cholesterol 2.23±0.22 mmol and carotene 1.28±0.21 mg%.

EFFECT: present invention makes it possible to increase the number of oocytes per aspiration obtained from donor cows as a result of the oocyte washout procedure in the in vitro embryo transfer technology, and guarantees the receipt of more than 3 oocytes in one washout procedure.
