Communication device comprises: a data transmission channel establishment request means which complies with the NAN (Neighborhood Awareness Network) standard for transmitting a first signal having a predetermined frame format, and in which type information included in said predetermined format is set to a first value; communication means for realizing first communication in a NAN cluster during a detection window (DW), and for setting a different period other than said DW, based on said first communication for performing second communication over a data transmission channel during said other period; notification means for notifying a partner device from a second communication in case the second communication is to be completed, that the second link needs to be terminated by transmitting a second signal having said predetermined frame format, and wherein type information included in said predetermined format is given a second value different from said first value; and control means for completion of second communication with partner device in response to transmission of said second signal.
EFFECT: low power consumption of NAN devices.
