FIELD: electric power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: use in the field of electric power engineering for protection of transformers against short circuits in its windings. Device for protection of windings of single-phase transformer against electric damages contains measuring transducer connected to reacting element, output of which is connected to circuit of circuit breaker disconnection. Measuring transducer is made in the form of a ferromagnetic core with a winding wound on it; at that, the ferromagnetic core relative to the transformer is located so that its longitudinal axis is parallel to axes of rods of the transformer core and is located at the same distance from these rods.

EFFECT: improved reliability of the device for protection of windings of single-phase transformer against electric damages due to reduced dependence of its sensitivity on location of closed turns in windings of the protected transformer and increased power supplied by the measuring transducer.
