SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to track positions of one or more aircraft. For this purpose, the device comprises a first receiver configured to receive a first position information of the aircraft along a digital data transmission line from a first radio-frequency source located on-board the aircraft with a first period by means of one or more ground stations, and a second receiver configured to receive second position information of the aircraft transmitted by the broadcast method from the second radio frequency source located on-board the aircraft with the second period by one or more ground stations. Device further comprises a third receiver configured to receive electronic geographical cartographic data, and a processor configured to receive first and second aircraft position information for filtering the amount of the first and second position information of the aircraft, to smooth filtered information and then to output smoothed information such that it can be superimposed on electronic geographical cartographic data.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of aircraft position information overlay on electronic geographic cartographic data.
