SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting control systems. Result is achieved by the fact that the lighting system includes an external environment control module, a commissioning module, a gateway module, IP luminaires and a medium control device. Control is carried out by calculating, based on the busy states and the detected employment history, the probability that the employment detection by the employment sensors is legitimate, and setting occupancy state of lighting unit based on calculated probability.

EFFECT: technical result is monitoring of energy consumption and use of resources in physical structures and regulation of lighting system behaviour.
