SUBSTANCE: invention relates to remote control methods for a vehicle, specifically to determining the location of a telephone as a key based on object detection. Vehicle comprises sensors for detecting objects near vehicle, wireless nodes for receiving received signal power values (RSSI) from mobile device and key unit in form of telephone, determining the first threshold RSSI based on the number and in response to the average value for the RSSI value fragment, which satisfies the first threshold RSSI value, to prepare the door of the vehicle. Method for determining location of mobile device comprises steps of detecting objects near vehicle, receiving power values of received signal (RSSI) from mobile device, determining the number of objects near the vehicle, determining the first threshold RSSI based on the number and in response to the average value for the RSSI-value fragment, which satisfies the first threshold RSSI value, the vehicle door is prepared.
