FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle being assisted with parking, in particular, to detection of semi-trailer overhang for active assistance to parking. Vehicle includes first and second sensors of remote detection and parking assistance unit. Second sensor of remote detection differs from the first sensor of remote detection. Parking assistance unit detects, using the first and second remote detection sensors, the second vehicle with overhang adjoining the parking space. Additionally, parking assistance unit broadcasts message with the help of DSRC module, including parking lot properties taking into account overhang and time.
EFFECT: higher safety at parking.
