SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of operating a vehicle door, comprising a step of pushing an unlocked door into a slightly open position. Unlocked door is mechanically held in a slightly open position. Said method is carried out by means of a door supply system comprising a door control device configured to hold a door in a slightly open position, a supply actuator configured to move between the retracted and extended positions, and a controller configured to move the supply actuator between the retracted and extended positions in response to the supply signal. Extended position of the actuating mechanism complies with the slightly open position of the door.
EFFECT: door supply system and method of its operation are proposed.
