FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of a vehicle door and a method for controlling the latch system of a vehicle door. Said door contains a powered latch mechanism and an interior handle, on opposite sides of which the first and second sensors are located. These sensors are configured to detect the presence of the user's hand to control the operation of the latch mechanism. Said latch can be unlocked only if an unlatch switch is engaged, and the sensors detect the presence of the user's hand.
EFFECT: design prevents unwanted unlocking of the door in emergency situations.
