SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology and medicine, namely to a method of treating and/or preventing skin infections associated with IL-4R-related diseases. Method for treating or preventing the severity of a skin infection, selected from a group consisting of impetigo, cellulitis, infectious dermatitis, herpetic eczema, folliculitis, infected blister, mycosis, selective lichen, an infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus infection involves administering to a subject in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an IL-4R antagonist, where the individual has atopic dermatitis. IL-4R antagonist is an antibody or its antigen-binding fragment which specifically binds IL-4Rα and contains three CDRs of HCVR heavy chain containing SEQ ID NO: 1, and three LCVR light chain CDRs containing SEQ ID NO: 2. Significantly less number of skin infections associated with treatment of said antagonist, its subcutaneous administration to adult patients with moderate to severe BP was safe and well tolerated.

EFFECT: treatment also demonstrated higher value of SCH (damping of stratum corneum) of damaged and undamaged areas at all doses.
