FIELD: rocket equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plasticizer for mixed rocket fuel based on potassium perchlorate, which can be used in jet engines of anti-hail and high-altitude research rockets, in amateur and experimental rocket science. Plasticizer consists of sorbitol with additive of 25–33 wt% oxybenzole containing two or more hydroxyl groups in its structure selected from the group including resorcin, pyrogallol, floroglucin, oxyhydroquinone and hexaoxybenzene. For reliable fixation of achieved plasticity, ethylene carbonate or propylene carbonate is added to composition in excess of stoichiometry in amount of 0.5–1 wt%.

EFFECT: use of a plasticizer with an oxybenzene additive solves the problem of undesirable crystallization of sorbitol; compositions remain plastic at 25 °C and hardened in 6–8 months at 10–15 °C; additional introduction of ethylene carbonate or propylene carbonate into fuel enables to obtain plastic fuel based on potassium perchlorate and sorbitol with unlimited storage time at temperature below 10 °C.
