FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for control of high-frequency two-bridge power DC-to-DC converter (DC/DC) with rated frequency (fN) and rated power (PN). Method of controlling two-bridge power DC-to-DC converter includes step of changing in range to value π first phase shift radians (ϕHB) between full bridge voltage and half bridge voltage, wherein working frequency (f) is changed simultaneously with said first phase shift and/or a second phase shift (ϕFB) between voltages of two half-bridges or branches making a full bridge, thus changing first phase shift (ϕHB) between full bridge voltage and half-bridge voltage, and/or reducing operating frequency (f) towards resonant frequency (f0) Of the LC circuit so as to minimize losses of switches in the DC-to-DC converter during operation.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of input voltage range and providing overload capacity by power up to 200 % and operation of converter in switching mode at zero voltage for entire range of input voltage.
